What We Do

Texas Foundation for the Arts develops, secures the funding for, and writes and produces documentary films that shine a spotlight on Texas arts and culture.

Our programs, which are provided free to PBS, and nationally through NETA (National Educational Telecommunications Association), as in the case of "The Golden Age of Texas Courthouses," are welcomed and broadcast (often repeatedly) by PBS stations across the state, after premiering on HoustonPBS Ch. 8.

As Texas Foundation for the Arts is a tax-exempt, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, all contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible.

Our advisory panel for The Art of Architecture includes Minnette Boesel, City of Houston; David Bucek, AIA; Peter Brown, Betterhouston.org; Kathryn Fosdick, Rice Design Alliance; Stephen Fox, author, architectural historian; Lisa Gray, Houston Chronicle; Ramona Davis, Greater Houston Preservation Alliance; Patricia Oliver, Dean, University of Houston School of Architecture; Ikhlas Sabouni, Dean, Prairie View A&M School of Architecture; Barrie Scardino; Linda Sylvan, Rice Design Alliance and Sarah Whiting, Dean, School of Architecture, Rice University.
